Concrete Finisher Responsibilities:
- Verify that the grade calls for the use of the appropriate formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcing materials, as well as the direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces.
- Remove spots and depressions from newly poured cement, then fill in hollows.
- Concrete can be compacted with the use of electric vibrators.
- Concrete must have a level top surface in accordance with the grade and depth specifications.
- Utilizing both hand tools and power equipment, impart the appropriate finish onto the concrete surfaces.
- Anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and any other necessary fixtures should be installed.
- Concrete structures need to have worn or broken sections replaced, as well as resurfaced and repaired areas.
- Read and understand the technical specifications, or listen carefully to the verbal instructions.
- Perform your duties with little to no oversight.
